When Mr Ansette mentioned fundraising for Diabetes UK I felt I had to join. For those who don’t know I am type 1 diabetic. I was diagnosed at age 27 just after recovering from the first time I had ever had the flu. I wear an insulin pump and also a glucose sensor. I try to live as normally and healthily as I can without losing the will! I know more about carbohydrates than I care to admit and have a secret stash of sweets in my classroom at all times.
