Offering a host of wellness and support programs to help people in treatment and recovery for all types of cancer find encouragement, optimism, stress relief and well being.

Story

The first impression you get when you walk into the Cancer House of Hope is its home-like setting. A white raised ranch in a residential area on Westfield Street in West Springfield, it has kitchen and couches like a home, a giant fish tank, and a backyard water feature and fire pit, as well as an adorable comfort dog, a Shih Tzu-Havanese mix named Abby, who happily greets you, tail wagging. The homey, non-clinical atmosphere is warm and welcoming - it is this relaxing vibe that those going through a cancer diagnosis and treatment truly appreciate. Cancer House of Hope provides a variety of support services, counseling, wellness programs, recreational activities, including a wig boutique, massage, reiki, in person and virtual yoga, relaxation and hypnotherapy, support groups, therapeutic horseback riding and a host of other outdoor activities in the warmer months. The mission is support, friendship, community and optimism. It is open to everyone and all services are free of charge.
