Story
I'll be returning to Ottawa on May 24th to run the 10 km in support of Connected in Motion. It's my third race after having my two babies and I want to inspire all mamas (especially those with T1D) that with consistency and hard work you can get back to your fitness and running goals.
Now on an AID system I find running a lot easier to manage, but it's still hard to regain my fitness while parenting two toddlers and working full-time. I had hoped to run the half marathon but I need to chase realistic goals. And so, I look forward to a fun 10km, with plans to properly train for another half marathon this fall.
Having a community like Connected in Motion is incredibly important for feeling less alone while living and training with T1D. Please join me in supporting this wonderful organization led by incredible staff with T1D - they are truly one of a kind! I believe in their mission so much that I am fortunate to be on their Board of Directors as well. This is the type of organization that really makes a difference!
Thank you for supporting me and Connected in Motion - every dollar counts.
