Brandon is 7 years old and like most the children in the UK Brandon, is presently staying within his own house and garden. He is managing to do this with the help of his cat Domino. 

Domino was adopted from the Warrington Cats Protection Adoption Centre in March 2019. During the school closure and lockdown Brandon has relied on Domino for emotional support. Whenever he has got stressed or annoyed he has gone to his room to chill closely followed by Domino who seems to pick up on the fact that hes upset and needs extra cuddles. 

All his cuddles with Domino have made him realise how he needs Domino as much as Domino needs him. Brandon has started running in his garden with the hopes of raising some money for all the cats still at the adoption centre, unable to find their forever homes due to the COVID19 crisis. 

Brandon will be running daily lengths of his garden. It is 21 feet long. At first he said he wants to do 1000 miles but has now decided on a 10 miles goal.  Using the calculation that there are 52800 ft in 10 miles, he's going to have to do 2515 lengths of his garden!!! He's aiming to complete 100 to 200 lengths a day!

Right now our centres and branches are closed to the public and we are only taking in cats in most serious need. Behind the scenes, our teams of dedicated employees and volunteers are working incredibly hard to keep every cat in our care fed, warm, happy and stimulated. This means that the costs of caring for them dont stop! If you can donate 18 today, it could cover the cost of a cat in our care for another day.

Sadly donations aren't keeping pace. Our charity shops are closed, sponsored runs, bike rides, bake sales and other fundraising events have been cancelled and we are unlikely to be eligible for the limited funding that the government has made available for charities.
