MND research is at a point where life-saving treatments are potentially on the horizon. And Sheffield is more than ready to be a frontrunner to find the answers. By fundraising, you'll improve the lives of patients long into the future.

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page! Later this year I will be taking on the Sheffield 10K - on Sunday 24th September - to support Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research at the University of Sheffield. Any donations are appreciated to help reach my fundraising goal! I have never ran a 10k before and thought this would be a fantastic cause to mark my first 10k with! But, what is MND?

MND is a terminal condition. It affects the brain and nerves and is nearly always fatal. In the UK alone, 1 in every 300 people in the UK will develop MND in their lifetime. But there's hope. The University of Sheffield has world leading MND researchers working tirelessly to find a cure for this debilitating disease. While I, personally, have no close ties to MND, I have friends who do. I have seen, through them, how this disease can greatly impact not only those with the disease, but also their loved ones. I will be running with them in my heart.

By making a gift today you will make a much needed breakthrough in MND come even sooner. And you'll improve the lives of MND patients long into the future. Thank you so much!
