I'm taking part in a 60-mile run and walk challenge throughout October to support Stroke survivors like myself and raise awareness about the journey to recovery

Walk 60 miles in October · 1 October 2024 to 20 December 2024 ·
4 months ago I suffered an Ischemic Stroke whilst on holiday with my family.
I was rushed to hospital where they did a Thrombectomy to remove the blood clot in my brain.
During my recovery I have learnt alot about how much a Stroke can impact a person's life and the people around them.
The consequences of a Stroke brings huge challenges physically and mentally.
I am taking part in this event to raise awareness of the struggles Stroke survivors go through every day to regain life after a sudden trauma.
Your fundraising can help in incredible ways:
• £50 could help us fund research to find new ways to help stroke survivors with communication difficulties.
• £150 could help pay for research into new stroke treatments, such as thrombolysis, a clot-busting drug that returns the blood supply to the brain that has transformed the outcomes of stroke survivors who have received it.
• £250 could pay for one hour of Helpline activity, helping the families of stroke survivors support their loved ones after stroke.
