I have been so proud to be part of Disney's pro bono partnership with Public Counsel since 2013 - and in fact, Public Counsel has helped my husband Jeremy and me foster-to-adopt two beautiful children!  .

Through its signature pro-bono project, Disney Legal has represented hundreds of parents adopting children placed in the L.A. foster care system due to abuse or neglect that are referred to us through Public Counsel’s Adoptions Project. Disney lawyers also advocate on behalf of these parents to get the benefits to which they are entitled under the law to help them care for these children. Public Counsel provides training and support to our pro bono volunteers at every step in the process. Public Counsel has many other programs as well, including homelessness prevention, immigrants’ rights, consumer rights & economic justice, veterans’ advancement, and women and girls rights.
