I'm fundraising for Cancer Research UK & Marie Curie at Swimathon 2023

Swimathon 2023 · 28 April 2023 to 13 May 2023 ·
Firstly, thank you for taking time out of your day to visit my 'Just Giving' page.
After facing cancer three times myself, I personally know how horrific this illness is and how it can affect lives of both the individual and their loved ones. Its been a tough six years following on from my first diagnoses and as a family we've had many highs and lows but I still feel super grateful to be here and I'll keep fighting for as long as I need to.
Swimathon is due to take place next month but I've have had to bring my challenge forward as my next operation has been rescheduled for later this week. I'll be attempting to swim 2.5km within one hour - that's 100 lengths of a 25m pool. If you would be kind enough to donate a couple quid to sponsor me and support these amazing charities, I'd really appreciate it!
Cancer Research UK is the largest charitable funder of cancer research in the world and will stay at the forefront of the global fight against cancer. 1 in 2 of us will get cancer. All of us can support the research that will beat it. Marie Curie is here for people with any terminal illness, and those close to them from diagnosis to bereavement. Our nurses and healthcare assistants support families directly across the UK. Our free support line can help with any question about end of life. And we campaign for structural change and fund vital research that improves end of life for everyone.
On 12-14 May, thousands of swimmers will be heading to over 450 pools across the UK to raise money for our two amazing charity partners.
Together we can really make a difference. We invite our swimmers to tell their story to help spread awareness and raise vital funds for these two incredible causes.
