I'm taking part in the Wigan 10k to raise money for Derian House Children's Hospice. Derian House provide care and respite for children with life-limiting or life-shortening conditions. To provide their services to these families it costs them around £4m per year, out of this they only receive around 11% in any statutory funding - the remaining 89% they have to find themselves.
