Compassionate Care Fund

Dancing With Our Scars 2020 ~ the PANDEMIC edition · 28 October 2020
Along with Trillium's Compassionate Care Fund, Be Brave and Believe is an organization helping families who are managing cancer treatment.
Certain families are struggling with daily costs and some have very young children.
In the spirit of the season and in light of uncertainty around the globe, we invite you to be part of a community that comes together to make a difference in the lives of these people and their families living a journey many of us will never have to face.
• $200 will support a family of 4 to purchase groceries
• $150 will provide a 30 visit parking pass at Trillium Health facilities
• $70 will provide a 10 visit parking pass at THP
• $25-50 buys a gas card for getting to appointments and treatment
• $20 will provide a gift card to purchase holiday toys for children
No amount is too small or too big. (When you choose pre-determined donation increment, you may then modify the amount to reflect how much you would like to give.) This initiative can be supported until December 18th – further donations welcome anytime.
The passion and dedication of founder Christine Glen-Coussée (1963-2016), singer, wife, mother, sister, daughter and super-fun friend, fuels this fundraising endeavour. Dancing With Our Scars Gala evenings feature 'real' people, some living with cancer themselves, dancing with professionals to live music played by Canada's best musicians. Christine, at the front of the bandstand, belted out every tune for these brave competitors - even through her illness.
So, this year when we have to stay apart, who are you dancing for?
Put on your favourite song, DANCE, DONATE and DEDICATE your energy to a loved one whose spirit might just join you in your kitchen or living room! Add a note here in their memory.
