This time last year I was taking my last chemo session and was looking forward to getting back into regular fitness again. Those of you that know me well will know that swimming  has been and will probably alway be my favourite exercise and I've done many challenges over the years including 10km open water. Taking in a 5km solo challenge this year seemed a big leap after managing my new energy levels so luckily I have lovely people to swim with me in a team. Please help us raise money for these important charities, even if its the price of your next drink! 

Cancer Research UK is the largest charitable funder of cancer research in the world and will stay at the forefront of the global fight against cancer. 1 in 2 of us will get cancer. All of us can support the research that will beat it. Marie Curie is here for people with any terminal illness, and those close to them from diagnosis to bereavement. Our nurses and healthcare assistants support families directly across the UK. Our free support line can help with any question about end of life.And we campaign for structural change and fund vital research that improves end of life for everyone. On 12-14 May, thousands of swimmers will be heading to over 450 pools across the UK to raise money for our two amazing charity partners. Together we can really make a difference. We invite our swimmers to tell their story to help spread awareness and raise vital funds for these two incredible causes.
