I've always wanted to run the NYC Marathon and I care passionately about programs that empower system impacted individuals. When I learned about Women's Prison Association, I immediately signed up to run! I will sprint, run, jog, walk and crawl for the 5,000 I aim to raise through generous supporters like you!

About WPA:

WPA is the nation's first organization for women impacted by incarceration. - The number of women in state prison in the U.S. has increased by 834% over the last four decades. That is more than twice the rate of increase that men experienced. 

It costs New York City $550K to incarcerate someone for one year. For the same amount, WPA can provide 94 women with safer, less costly alternatives to incarceration that includes comprehensive case management, safe and stable housing, and employment assistance support.
