I am running to support BRC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals reclaim their lives from homelessness, mental illness, and addiction. 

Having lived in New York for the last four years I've seen how the attitude towards and supports for the unhoused and those with mental illness has continued to deteriorate. I've witnessed first hand many tense and unfortunate situations on the trains and I think homelessness is one of the biggest issues impacting safety and well-being. Not enough resources are being dedicated to giving the unhoused, especially those grappling with mental illness and addiction, the supports they need. 

I'm hoping that by running with BRC I can do a small part to help.
