Story

I will be running again in honor of a great person.

I am running 10 miles in the Captain Bill Gallagher 10 Mile Island run on July 30, 2022 to raise money for cancer. For Pete's Sake, the organization I am supporting, provides respite experiences for families who have loved ones who are fighting this terrible disease.

Gino Francescangeli was one of a kind. He raised an incredible family. This run helps support the families those less fortunate.

I will run for everyone who donates. For those of you that were fortunate enough to share a part of your life with him, you know what I am talking about. For those who did not, he was a big old Italian. Compassionate. Family first. Cared more about you then himself. Just a first class, quality person who loved his family, people, his job, and fishing at the beach. The picture was one of his biggest Back Bay catches.

Every dollar goes to the organization. Please consider donating, and please share with any person or company who may be able to help. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. Last year was a big success. I hope to raise $10,000.00 this year for the organization.

Your donation supports For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation (FPS). FPS enables cancer patients and their loved ones to strengthen, deepen and unify their relationships by creating unforgettable and lasting respite experiences. Thank you!

About the charity

We address the psychosocial and emotional needs of the young adult cancer patient population and their loved ones. Working with oncology professionals at over 100 hospitals and cancer centers, we provide transformative respite experiences to cancer patients (ages 24-55), their caregivers and their children. We offer our families emotional support that assists them as their journey with cancer continues. Our program helps families recognize it is love, not cancer, that defines them.
