I am new to NYC and I jumped on the chance to run the Marathon in support of the WPA. Incarceration is one of the most fundamental problems with our country, and while we work towards abolition we must support the people impacted. I can't wait to celebrate NYC while raising money for such an important cause. I hope you'll join me!

About WPA: WPA is the nations first organization for women impacted by incarceration. The number of women in state prison in the U.S. has increased by 834% over the last four decades. That is more than twice the rate of increase that men experienced. WPAs alternative to incarceration program, JusticeHome allows women to avoid prison or jail. Instead they address the challenges that led to their arrest in the community. It costs more than $120K a year to send a woman to jail and her children to foster care. It costs less than $20K a year to offer her an alternative to incarceration with WPA.
