The people I work with at this amazing charity create miracles every day enabling the children we work with to discover confidence, teamwork and the pleasure of engaging with the arts. Through our work with children's centres, groups of parents and babies have enjoyed making music and gaining play and language skills. Our Poetry and Music projects have resulted in children creating their own work and gaining the confidence to perform in front of their peers. Our work in libraries has brought high quality theatre and dance to local neighbourhood performance spaces and encouraged families and schools to engage with their local community spaces in a new way. And most of all our fundraising enables us to run free events and performances during the festival ensuring that every child can access high quality arts. Please help me make my target on my first fundraiser for The Spark.

The money raised from this event will help enable The Spark Arts for Children to continue to create unforgettable arts experiences for children aged 0 13 in Leicestershire. Gaining access to the Arts is hugely valuable to a child's wellbeing and is crucial for imagination, self-expression and creativity. Our work offers children the opportunity to discover and enjoy the arts as audiences, as learners and as creators of their own art.
