London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
Here we go again! I first trained for the London Marathon three years ago and Covid put pay to that! Still feel like I’ve entirely lost my mind to be training for this again!! Running in this years London Marathon. This will be my first and no doubt my last! It will be the toughest test of physical and mental strength I've ever endured! This year marks five years since we lost my incredible mum, she has missed out on so much in that time. This one is for her!
I couldn't be more delighted to be offered a space from a charity so close to my heart: The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.
Back in 2017 after collapsing at work, my marvellous mother was given a life changing diagnosis of a brain tumour. The outcome was far from great. With numerous stays within the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the palliative care team managed to locate a space within the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. Without such, nursing, care and consideration we as a family would have been lost. The staff are incredible at what they do here. My mother sadly lost her battle with GB4 brain cancer on 24th February 2018.
I'm running this marathon not just for mum but for all that have battled:battling this awful condition. And for those families that are relying on such a great service at the PPWH Glasgow. They are so deserving of any donations you can spare.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your kind donations no matter the size! Remember you are making a difference.
Mypage donations will be sent direct to the charity in a fast and secure way. Its efficient, saves time and cuts costs for the charity. Let's do this!
