Fundraising for Rhode Island Community Food Bank
Story
Hope Energy’s goal has always been to make a positive difference in our community. Though we normally do that by providing above-and-beyond heating and fuel delivery services to our Rhode Island friends and neighbors, we’re also currently hosting a virtual food drive to help those in need.
We’ve donated $1,000, and we hope that our customers will feel led to contribute as well. If our valued customers like you can team up and cumulatively match our donation, just imagine the amount of hunger we can abolish in our state this season.
Interested in knowing more about the charity we’re supporting? The Rhode Island Community Food Bank acquires and distributes food to neighbors in need through a statewide network of 159 pantries and meal sites. Each month, 54,000 Rhode Islanders receive food assistance at these locations. Two out of three of the households served by food pantries include seniors and/or children. Since the food bank purchases nutritious food in bulk, every donated dollar goes further to get more food than can be purchased at the grocery store, thereby providing more food to those facing nutritional instability. We greatly appreciate your generosity, as every donation makes a difference in supporting our neighbors in need.
