Story
INALSA seeks to raise awareness and participate in activism for the promotion of indigenous rights and cultural preservation. We pursue restorative justice for indigenous/Native American communities as victims of colonization and genocide. In particular, we endeavor to support the Yuki/Powe Nom who were the victims of the genocide perpetrated by our school's former namesake.
As an affinity and public interest organization that was renewed in the last two years, we lack the funds necessary to pay for Native American/indigenous lawyers to come to campus and speak to law students, for our members to travel to and support indigenous and Native communities that seek legal assistance, and to generally host events in the hopes of cultivating an enthusiasm for Native American law and encourage students to participate in restorative justice efforts.
We greatly appreciate your attention and interest in INALSA. Thank you for your contribution to our organization.
