Give Justice on Giving Tuesday 2020 · 1 December 2020 ·

Join us this Giving Tuesday to fund critical legal services and advocacy efforts that advance justice for communities in Los Angeles and across the nation.

Story

We’re Public Counsel’s Immigrants’ Rights Project (IRP), and this Giving Tuesday we are honored to raise funds to support immigrants. Public Counsel's IRP fights for a world where all (im)migrants live with dignity, power, and opportunity. The project represents asylum-seekers, unaccompanied children, survivors of trafficking and other violent crimes eligible for special visas, veterans who have been unjustly deported, and immigrants detained by ICE in Southern California.  We also challenge the government's unlawful immigration policies in court.

Over the past four years, IRP has been on the frontlines responding to the harmful policies of the Trump Administration – mobilizing  at LAX in response to the Travel Ban, holding emergency legal clinics to support DACA recipients, suing on behalf of immigrant children to demand protections guaranteed under the law, and assisting families who were torn apart by the family separation policy.

These past four years have been devastating for the immigrant community but there is now hope. We are at a critical moment to transform this hope for justice into reality, and we need your help to sustain our efforts. If you would like to donate, you can do so by using the 'Give Now' button. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Every dollar counts!
