Jade's Jungle Trek for Cats Protection

Sumatra Jungle Trek 2023 · 4 November 2023 to 13 November 2023 ·
Hello!
My name is Jade, I am a Veterinary Nurse and I love cats!
I've been an animal lover for as long as i can remember, and even wanted to be a Veterinary Nurse from a young age. I've owned multiple cats since I was very little and even adopted a few from Cats Protection. I still have my oldest cat Zebedee who we adopted as a little baby from Cats Protection, 20 years ago!
Cats Protection does incredible work to help cats and kittens all over the UK. They cover the costs of neutering 1000's of cats to try and tackle the overpopulation of cats in the country. They provide excellent resources and education to the public about cat welfare.
So, as a cat lover who is getting a bit older and wanting to attempt something challenging, along with the rewarding experience of helping a well deserving charity.... I am asking you for some help!
In November 2023 I will be taking part in the Cats Protection Sumatra Jungle Trek. This will involve months of fitness and mental training to get me through this challenge! I will be trekking through the indonesian jungle, climbing up into the hills in the Gunung Leuser National Park, and finally learning from a local tiger conservationist about their anti-poaching efforts.
The trek will last for one week, walking up to 6 hours a day and trekking on steep and uneven terrain through the hot and humid jungle. Basically - it will not just be a walk in the park!
I am asking anyone who loves cats, animals, charity or just would like to support me in achieving this challenge, please could you donate whatever you are able to using the links on this page. I would be incredibly grateful! As will the Charity! All of the money raised will be going to the Gildersome Cats Protection branch, and will directly help cats and kittens that need food, surgeries, neutering, parasite treatment and much more!
I'll be updating this page with any progress I make in regards to training or other fundraising events I will do in the meantime. I massively appreciate every donation that is given and I promise to prove that I can make it through this challenge!
