Centrepoint is the UK's leading charity focussed on youth homelessness. Across the UK, there are estimated to be nearly 160,000 youths classed as homeless by local councils, who need 24/7 support in finding permanent accommodation, employment, possible counselling and other support. These levels are particularly acute in major cities, with Centrepoint's London hub running continuously since 1969, and other centres in Manchester, Bradford and Sunderland (with a total of over 60 accommodation services providing 1,200 beds) seeing constant use since their establishment. They currently support c. 16,000 people every year.

Alongside the work they do supporting individuals who do end up homeless, Centrepoint is constantly supporting local and national governments with establishing new policies and safeguards to ensure that children and young adults do not slip through the net and end up on the path to homelessness.
