SAY fights to end youth homelessness and to support vulnerable young people across Sonoma County by providing housing, counseling, career, and crisis support.

Story

As a local REALTOR® in Sonoma County, I have the privilege of helping people find HOME every day. Home represents safety, security, comfort, and so much more. When I read about our homeless youth, I realize how much many of us take HOME for granted. So for that reason, I would like to do my part to help ease the burden on our homeless youth. I have donated $2,000 to the fundraising campaign, will you help me double it?

A little background:

When youth are in crisis, the warning signs aren't always visible. Children and young adults grappling with grief, trauma, and abuse often experience vulnerability in silence, especially those who have no safety net at home. More than 300 young people in our county are living unsheltered on the streets. Social Advocates for Youth has been offering essential services in four key areas - crisis, counseling, careers, and housing - for the last 50 years. SAY meets young people where they are, when they need it most, in order to help them thrive. This year, our youth will need their services more than ever. Your pledge to SAY helps lend a voice to the thousands of young people who will utilize our services this year. Thanks to the generosity of the John Jordan Foundation, the Do-Gooder Fund and Providence Health, your fundraising efforts will have double the impact. Every dollar raised will be matched, up to $100,000, allowing SAY to keep changing lives in our community.
