Story
I have joined #TEAMLC to run the London Marathon 2025. Please help me to support everyone affected by a blood cancer diagnosis in the UK.
In Feb 2021 my auntie was diagnosed with leukaemia. She got straight into chemo were she battled long and hard to try and get rid of the cancer. The doctors then turned to find another answer with chemo starting to show no progress and they looked towards a stem cell transplant procedure.
Luckily my Mum was a direct match, which we were told is extremely rare. so in June that year she was off to donate stem cells for her sister. After a successful donation she was given the green light in the following days.
I am raising money to spread awareness but also to support such a great charity that did so much and allowed the family to keep a massive part of it.
Leukaemia Care is a national charity dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support. Around 34,000 people are affected by blood cancer each year in the UK and we're here to support them through their diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
