This June, I'll be taking on Morecambe Bay for Prevent Breast Cancer. 

On December 24th 2021 I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer and had subsequent surgery in February 2022. In June 2022 a dear friend was also diagnosed with breast cancer and endured a gruelling regime of treatment. That was two of us out of our close circle of four friends.

Prevent Breast Cancer is important as it is the only charity in the UK dedicated to preventing breast cancer.  Promoting early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, they believe we can stop the problem before it starts. 

Every year, in the UK, over 55,000 individuals are diagnosed - 150 people a day. And every year, we lose 11,500 to this disease. That is 11,500 too many. In fact, it is 55,000 too many.
