My amazing grandparents Edward, 93 and Christine, 90 both suffered deeply at the hands of Dementia.

Whilst they both made it to their 90’s, the last 5 years of their lives were pretty brutal at times, not only for them but for the loved ones that watched them suffer, particularly my mum and two Uncle’s.

They were the most incredible grandparents and gave me some of the happiest memories of my childhood alongside more love and support that I could ever have wished for, and for that I will always be thankful! I miss them both every day. 

So this is me, giving a little back to help with the fight on dementia and wanting to make them proud. 

I only started running at the end of April 2018, so this will be a big challenge for me, but one I’m determined to achieve.
