Laurel House's Walk a Mile In Her Shoes is a 1-mile walk in which men are asked to walk in red high heel shoes (women bring your sneakers!) to raise awareness about domestic abuse.

Story

As Montgomery County’s only comprehensive domestic violence agency, we know that each year thousands of women in our community are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Laurel House invites you to join us for our Annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes® event. Walk A Mile In Her Shoes® is the International Men’s March Against Rape, Sexual Assault, and Gender Violence. All proceeds raised will go to support our domestic abuse programs and services.

About the charity

Laurel House advocates for and empowers those impacted by domestic abuse by providing crisis intervention, safe haven, supportive programs, and resources; as well as preventative education, community training, and collaboration to foster a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
