Red Nose Day - 2019 · 15 March 2019 ·

Red Nose Day will be back with a bang on 15 March. This year TK Maxx and Homesense are supporting Comic Relief who is asking the nation to come together to make a difference to people's lives both here in the UK and worldwide.

Story

Following recent safety advice for the Atlas Mountains we have taken the tough decision to cancel our trek up Mount Toubkal in Morocco.

However, in true TJX spirit, we are not defeated! Instead we say no to one mountain but yes to two! Yes we will now be taking on two mountains in the Sierra Nevada in Spain over three days.

We will still have to deal with snow, ice, freezing temperatures, crampons and ice-axes as we climb Veleta (3,394m) and Mulhacen (3,482m), the highest peak in Western Europe outside of the Alps.

We’ve created this page because we want to make a difference as part of Red Nose Day.

Not all of us are in peak physical condition and some of us have been roped into this climb.  It’s hard to crampon all the details in but here goes:

So, to summit up, we’ve been doing some training, now it’s time to let the boots do the walking!

We have all self-funded the trip so every penny donated will be going to charity. Please help us to help comic relief continue to support those most in need by giving whatever you can using the Donate button.
