Pazza's Big Day Out

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
UPDATE, 7 April 2025:
Such a great day. Mission accomplished. Thanks for all your support. xx
On 6 April 2025, I'll be running my second London Landmarks Half Marathon, this time on behalf of Leukaemia Care, and I'd love your help please.
I love racing in central London, even when it's the challenge of the London Marathon, which I ran in 2013. It took me a while to complete, as I struggled in the balmy 20-degree spring sunshine and to keep up with the person who overtook me while wearing a deep-sea diving outfit. And the Womble who followed the diver.
Still, I made it around the course and managed to raise a bit for charity.
This time, though, it’s even more personal.
On Christmas Eve 2023, I lost my mum to acute myeloid leukaemia. She fought bravely but the disease was relentless and aggressive. Her death has left a hole in the lives and hearts of our family and her many friends.
But running this race gives me a chance to do something positive in her memory.
Leukaemia Care is a national charity dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support. About 34,000 people are affected by blood cancer each year in the UK and Leukaemia Care is here to support them through their diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
By sponsoring me, you'll be helping this important charity to continue its incredible work and funding life-saving research into blood cancers such as that which took my dear mum.
Every step I take on 6 April will be for her. Every pound you donate will help another family facing this cruel disease.
If you’d like to support me, please donate as much as you're able to. Your generosity will mean so much to me and Leukaemia Care.
Thanks very much for your kindness and support.
