I am running the London Landmark Marathon as a huge personal challenge. This is something I have never done before and probably never will again!

My reason for running 13 miles 😱 is to raise money for the amazing charity Claire House Children’s Hospice in Liverpool.

In 2019 my beautiful friend Sarah and her lovely husband Gray had gorgeous twin girls Phoebe and Gabriella. They were born prematurely but did brilliantly! They were almost ready to go home to be with their parents and 2 big brothers when tragedy struck. Both the girls developed meningitis and despite all the care they received Phoebe passed away.

This huge tragedy is unimaginable to most of us but Sarah and Gray were plunged into the worst time of their lives. During Phoebe’s last day, in the immediate aftermath and still today Sarah, Gray, Max, Isaac and Gabriella have been supported by the wonderful Claire House Children’s Hospice. Their constant support has helped the family come through the worst time in their lives!

When Sarah asked me to run 13 miles 😱 with her and Kim in memory of beautiful Phoebe and for such an amazing charity I agreed straight away.

Claire House Children’s Hospice is a huge support to so many families of children with life limiting illnesses.

In my professional life I have worked with many families who have benefited from the support of Claire House. This includes respite care for terminally ill children as well as counselling, bereavement support for parents and siblings and memorial services and activities. Without charitable money they could not continue their invaluable work.
