Story

I don't really like running. I never have. In fact, I'm not really too keen on exercise full stop. So why on earth have I just signed up to run the 2025 London Marathon? (Originally planned to run the 2024 Marathon but sustained an injury during training)

Three months after my son Theo was born, a check-up revealed that he had a congenital heart condition that required immediate attention. The news was both overwhelming and frightening. During this traumatic and uncertain time we were in the amazing care of the kind team at the Evelina London Children's Hospital. Through their remarkable efforts, Theo is thriving.

As a gesture of gratitude and a desire to give back, I have decided to run the 2025 London Marathon in support of Evelina London Children's Charity to help other families who might be facing the same journey that we once embarked upon.

By supporting me in this marathon endeavour, you're contributing to the invaluable work of Evelina London Children's Charity. The funds raised will go towards cutting-edge research, life-saving equipment, and crucial family support services. Your generous donations will ensure that parents receive the guidance and care they need during these challenging times, and that children receive the best possible medical care to overcome their health battles.

I will value your contribution, however big or small, because I know it will ensure that Evelina London Children's Charity can continue its brilliant work helping children and families who are going through similar medical crises.
