Winter Party Festival has become my family away from home. I attended the first Winter Party Festival in 2000 and immediately was fascinated and in love by how amazing and wonderful this event is. 

In 2001 I volunteered for the first time and helped with the Iconic beach party. I continued volunteering where I met Dave Cook who kept me coming back. And 9 years ago I was asked to join the executive committee and head up the Welcome Center and I met so many amazing volunteers and staff who are to this day still friends and part of my extended family. 

Unlike other circuit parties, Winter Party Festival is not for profit. All proceeds are used for this cause!

Winter Party for me is a place where all can be who we are. "BE YOU!" The National LGBTQ task force's EQUITY FOR ALL OF ME ALL THE TIME #allofmeallthetime highlights what I see on the dance floor and when wenn we are done with the beautiful event and focus on the money that we raised for this awesome cause. 

And here is how it all started:

In 1994, one thousand people gathered on the sands of South Beach to raise money to combat an antigay ballot initiative through an afternoon of dancing, and Winter Party was born. Winter Party Festival is an annual, week-long celebration of music, dance, and community, produced to raise critical funds for the LGBTQ community. Winter Party's underlying purpose is much larger than the festival itself. Winter Party is a fundraising venture produced by, and in support of, the National LGBTQ Task Force. We are committed to forward-thinking, progressive change, both in South Florida and nationally.
