Zachary was born with Angelman Syndrome and we got our official diagnosis about 3 years ago. Zachary is now THRIVING against all odds. 2020 was a huge year for Zachary and towards finding a CURE. Last year we saw Zachary do amazing things like walking, getting up to stand and walk on his own, climb stairs, climb on playground equipment and go down a slide on his own, drink from a straw, say his first word ("mama"), say "I love you" on his talker, throw a ball, start floating in the pool, and SO MUCH MORE. Despite all these gains, we still live with the fear that one day ZAK may have seizures and his progress will slow down or stop because of them; that we may never hear his sweet voice telling us his favorite part of his day; that he will struggle and fight to do things that come so easily to Parker. FAST has given us HOPE for a cure. Thanks to FAST funding, there are THERAPEUTICS on the horizon - just last year there was a clinical trial where they saw kids gain words, walk, throw a ball, and swim across the pool. The younger the child, the faster it worked....in some cases gains were seen in as little as TWO WEEKS. So we need your help, and we need it now!
