Since I was a small boy, sailing my dinghies around the waters in Denmark, I had this dream that I would "ONE DAY" cross a Big Ocean; experience the amazing wildlife, and that I would be dancing with Mother Nature along the "Roaring Forties".

After ~40 years of patient preparation, this is now happening and I am extremely proud and happy that the "Race of my Life" will be on the UNICEF boat "For Every Child".

My fellow UNICEF Team members are amazing with experiences from all walks of life. Many of them have worked in the fields of humanitarian support so I couldn't be more excited than to take on this "Once in a Lifetime Challenge" together with them. 

My family, friends, colleagues at Bayer and passionate Ambassadors of the Sustainable Procurement Pledge deserve a HUGE THANKS for encouraging me, for taking on extra work and driving positive change, while I am making my dream come true.

You may know this; UNICEF relies 100% on voluntary contributions and donations. The Clipper Race has thankfully again gifted our team yacht to UNICEF to help bring attention to the issues and dangers that children continue to face around the globe. Sadly we continue to have millions of our children who are robbed of their basic human rights.
