As many of you know, Summer Search Philadelphia is an organization that I hold close to my heart. During this unprecedented time, Summer Search Philadelphia is uniquely positioned to continue supporting more than 300 students and alumni across the city. Summer Search Philadelphia took its professional mentoring to a virtual platform with no hesitation whatsoever, continuing to provide both 1:1 and group mentoring supports during this time. 1:1 mentoring check-ins are allowing mentors to ensure that our students are safe, know where to access important resources, and are also tending to their social and emotional needs. Group mentoring sessions, which just launched this spring, will continue virtually and will provide much needed peer-to-peer interaction time while our young people are at home to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
