UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Camp Chihopi

Camp Chihopi · 15 November 2022
Camp Chihopi is a summer camping experience for children ages 7 to 15 who have received liver transplants and/or intestine transplants. Each year, campers enjoy the beautiful surrounds of the Emma Kaufmann Camp, located 90 miles south of Pittsburgh near Morgantown, West Virginia.
During this summer camping event, campers are encouraged to make new friends, share their experiences, and participate in a variety of outdoor camp activities to the best of their abilities.
Camp Chihopi provides a non-medical environment where campers can increase self-esteem and interact with children who have similar medical backgrounds. The camp aims to help children continue to adapt to their chronic condition as a transplant recipient as they mature into young adults.
Camp is reliant on philanthropy support. You and your network can make a large difference.
