Story
I'm participating in Drop Zone Halifax 2025 because Easter Seals does essential, hands-on work to advance accessibility and inclusion; not just in theory, but in people’s day-to-day lives. Rappelling is symbolic: it's a controlled risk, a confrontation with fear, and a reminder that meaningful change often requires discomfort.
As someone who is autistic and doesn’t always align with the assumptions people carry about what that means, I believe visibility matters. It’s not about spectacle; it’s about showing up, speaking up, and backing the idea that inclusion must be active, ongoing, and built into the structure of our communities.
