About BRC:

BRC administers critical services including substance abuse treatment, workforce development, and physical and mental health care. BRC also operates emergency shelters, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing.

By donating to my fundraiser, you not only support BRC's ongoing work, but you're also investing in BRC's capacity to pilot new innovations. Did you know that BRC was the first homeless services provider in New York City to implement a safe haven shelter model (a model of shelter with minimal rules and restrictions that appeals to those who experience chronic homelessness) nearly 20 years ago? Today, there are over 12,000 safe haven beds in NYC because other organizations copied BRC's successful model.
