Since the moment I started working with Common Hope, the opportunity to be a sponsor was always a priority for me. While working on one of our campaigns, my friend and coworker Omar sent me a profile of a student. Omar shared that this student was very dedicated in his studies and had always wanted to be paired with a sponsor. After talking with my husband Richard, it was obvious that our time to be sponsors had come.

Being a sponsor for Carlos Adrian has been a impactful journey. I have the privilege of seeing how our programs support students first hand, so I have full confidence that our investment is well spent. What I didn't expect was how much meeting Adrian and his family would have on my day to day life. When work becomes challenging or the day to day struggles seem to overwhelm me, I am reminded of Adrian's persistence and his goals to become an engineer. I am fully confident that he will continue to achieve and make a difference in his community, so I will do my part to make a difference in mine.
