HYROX London ExCel 2026 · 2 December 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

HYROX is the world’s leading fitness event series, and we’re happy to be their UK headline charity partner. HYROX is a fitness race for everybody, no matter your fitness level.

Story

This December, I'm taking on HYROX London ExCeL to support people living with cancer, in memory of my grandfather and in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Earlier this year, my grandfather passed away from leiomyosarcoma. He was a consultant anaesthetist for most of his life, and helping people came naturally to him. He liked having a chat with anyone, always up for a conversation with people from all walks of life. My grandparents, who were both doctors, are a big part of why I wanted to become a doctor myself.

Watching him decline, I also saw the support Macmillan brought in: the nurses who cared for him, and the support they gave our whole family. Seeing that care up close showed me exactly what Macmillan does and why it matters so much. I know he would have wanted to keep helping people, in whatever way he could, so this is me doing that for him.

HYROX is the fitness race that combines both running and functional fitness. I'll be taking on a course of a 1km run followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.

I have pledged to raise £400, which could help support many of Macmillan's vital services. Any donation, big or small, would mean a lot to me. Money raised helps fund Macmillan Nurses, emotional and practical support for patients and families, research into better treatments, and education to help people understand and cope with a cancer diagnosis.

There are currently over 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer.

Thank you!
