Al Huda Institute x IDRF - Ramadan 2026

International Development and Relief Foundation is raising money for International Development and Relief Foundation
Conflict, displacement, and poverty continue to leave millions of families around the world struggling to meet their most basic needs.

Story

This Ramadan, Al Huda Institute has partnered with IDRF, one of Canada's Top 100 Charities, to raise funds worldwide.

The Situation

Conflict, displacement, and poverty continue to leave millions of families around the world struggling to meet their most basic needs. Parents are working tirelessly to provide for their children, yet many households remain without reliable access to food, clean water, safe shelter, or medical care. In places facing devastating crises—especially Gaza, where ongoing conflict has left countless families displaced and struggling to access even the most basic necessities—people are not only trying to survive, they are trying to rebuild, recover, and hold on to hope.

This Ramadan, we are committed to doing more. More food on the table. More support for vulnerable families. More hope for those enduring hardship.

But we need your support to make this happen.

How We’re Helping:

This Ramadan, our focus is on providing food and water in various regions through zakat donations. In addition to our regular programming, we are offering the following Ramadan programs.

1. Food Assistance

Food distribution will be provided through food parcels, cash for food, or vouchers, ensuring that families in need have access to essential food for iftars during Ramadan. The cost of a food parcel for one month is $100. Food parcels will consist of locally sourced staple items to support culturally appropriate meals. As a result, food parcel contents will vary by country and region rather than following a single standardized package.

2. Iftars

Iftars will be provided to individuals during Ramadan to break their fast. The cost of each meal/iftar is $7.50.

3. Fitrah Distribution & Fidya/Kaffaara

Fitrah donations will be used to provide fresh produce and staple foods to families at $15.

Donations of $10.00 CAD or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt from IDRF.
