Thank you so much for visiting our fundraising page as we prepare to run the Tokyo Marathon for Save The Children.

To introduce ourselves, we’re Liv and Alex - siblings with two huge passions: long distance running and raising money for charity.

Save The Children is an absolutely amazing charity, doing valuable work to ensure children around the world have access to the food, medicine and education that they so desperately need.

Last year we ran the London and Berlin marathons, raising over £10,000 thanks to your generosity. We can’t tell you how grateful we are.

It’s also a charity we have a special family connection to. Many of you will remember our gorgeous grandmother, Olive, a huge personality and an even huger inspiration to both of us.

Olive’s heart for improving the lives of children around the world led her (total legend) to becoming Chairwoman for Save The Children in Wales for many years, and got to meet the then Prince Charles when she was awarded with an MBE for her philanthropic efforts.

Heartbreakingly, Nanny Olive passed away over summer, having celebrated 90 eventful years, and seeing into the world her first great grandchild, beautiful little Noa. We miss Olive so much, every day. So Tokyo 2026 will be an extra meaningful race for us - both in support of Save The Children, and in loving memory of Olive.

You only have to turn the news on or open social media to see that the world is a far more frightening place even that a few years ago, and the work that Save The Children do has become even more important.
