I'm running the London Marathon in support of Save the Children, a charity whose mission is close to my heart. Around the world, millions of children face unimaginable challenges, from conflict and hunger to lack of access to education and healthcare. In 2023, Save the Children reached 47.4m children in 94 countries including the UK, delivering life-saving aid and long-term support to help break the cycle of poverty.

As somebody passionate about ensuring every young person has access to opportunities in STEM, I know how transformative education and support can be. Save the Children works globally to give children the chance to learn and thrive especially in places where those opportunities are hardest to come by.

To be honest, I'm still getting my head around just how far 26.2 miles really is! But I'm excited by the challenge, and even more so by the chance to run through the incredible streets of London for a cause that matters deeply to me.
