Story
I’m running my first 10KM on May 23, 2026, alongside my younger brother and our friends, in honour of our older brother Adam, who passed away 1.5 years ago. The date is especially meaningful as it falls just one day before his birthday. Adam was passionate about staying active and was deeply committed to his health, so this run feels like a way to carry that part of him forward. I’m raising money for the Ottawa Royal Mental Health Foundation because mental health was something Adam cared deeply about—he was always the first to show up for others who were struggling, and he supported me through some of my own hardest moments. This cause reflects the kind of person he was, and I know he would have been proud to be part of it. Supporting mental health care is incredibly important, and I’m honoured to run in his memory while helping make a difference.
