I am an avid reader and library user, often leaving the library with a stack of books in my arms, but libraries offer so much beyond books. The BPL provides language classes, concerts and educational talks, support for job searching and entrepreneurship, resources for those experiencing homelessness, and so much more. Libraries are essential community spaces that provide numerous resources alongside a welcoming public space - all for free.

With libraries and public institutions currently under attack, we cannot take the work of the BPL for granted and must act now to ensure that the BPL will continue to thrive and meet the growing needs of the communities that it serves.

In 2024, your donations delivered more than $75,000 to the 25 branches of BPL and funded 29 new and innovative programs. This year, we are working towards an ambitious goal of raising $100,000 in essential funding.
