The Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) is the leading hunger-relief nonprofit in Central Texas, working to provide immediate and equitable access to nutritious food for individuals across its 21-county service area.

Story

We’re raising money for the Central Texas Food Bank because food insecurity is a growing crisis in our region — and it's getting worse. Recent federal funding cuts have eliminated nearly 750,000 meals from local programs, directly impacting families, children, seniors, and working individuals right here in Central Texas.

More than 187,000 people in Travis County alone struggle to access consistent, nutritious food — including 1 in 5 children. Many live in food deserts or earn too much to qualify for assistance but too little to keep up with rising costs of living. Hunger in our community is invisible but widespread, and it leads to serious consequences — from poor health outcomes to reduced school and work performance.

Every dollar we raise provides 4 meals. That means your small donation can have a big impact — restoring dignity, reducing hardship, and helping our neighbors thrive.

Let’s turn compassion into action — because no one in Central Texas should go hungry.
