We are both taking part in the Great North Run to raise money for Diabetes UK. Amy was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 9 years old, and although living with the condition is a constant challenge, it has never stopped her doing the things she wants to do.

Someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes, and as many as 4.9 million people are living with diabetes in the UK right now.
