Climb for Cures - Yorkshire Three Peaks · 1 June 2024 ·

When you or a loved one is diagnosed with a brain tumour, you know there’s a steep challenge ahead of you. Help us even the playing field by tackling The Yorkshire Three Peaks and raising funds so we can beat brain tumours sooner.

Story

In September 2021 my stepdad Gary was diagnosed with grade 4 Glioblastoma, a fast growing, aggressive type of brain tumour.

Over £700m is spent on cancer research in the UK every year, yet less than 3% is spent on brain tumours despite it being the biggest cancer killer in children and adults under 40.

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.

We're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And we're doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can't wait.

In June this year me and other members of my family will be attempting to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for the charity. We would really appreciate any money that you are to donate.

Thank you.
