Story
This summer I am volunteering again at the Wendt Center’s Camp Forget‑Me‑Not/Camp Erin DC — a free grief camp for children and their families in the DC area.
Camp offers fun activities in a supportive, healing environment for children ages 6–17 who are grieving the death of someone they love. It gives kids a safe space to be themselves, explore their feelings, and realize they are not alone.
Trained volunteers provide one‑on‑one support, and licensed therapists lead therapeutic groups tailored to each age group. Caregivers are also included, recognizing that grief touches the whole family.
Since 1999, more than 1,400 children have attended Camp at no cost. Please join me in making this life‑changing experience possible by donating today.
