Not for the faint hearted ...
The thought of this was pretty tough, if you know the spinnaker tower, and perhaps you have walked on the glass floor of the viewing platform, you will understand how this felt!
I stepped out of my comfort zone and onto the outside of the tower. I then descended from a height of 100 metres (328 feet) above ground level; higher than Big Ben, the London Eye and the Blackpool Tower ...
I have abseiled before, but not from this high ....
The thought of it was terrifying .... but I did it anyway.
My day job is working for ESS, and we are proud to be a Platinum Bridge Partner of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC)
I personally serve voluntarily as an RNRMC Corporate Ambassador. This close relationship enables us to collaborate frequently on initiatives, and this seemed to make sense at the time - and I am so pleased I took on the commitment.
I also co chair the Compass Group Armed Forces Committee, where we have made a series of pledges to support our Armed Forces Community
